BLURB

Seventeen-year-old Raine Cooper has enough on her plate dealing with her father’s disappearance, her mother’s erratic behavior and the possibility of her boyfriend relocating. The last thing she needs is Torin St. James—a mysterious new neighbor with a wicked smile and uncanny way of reading her.

Raine is drawn to Torin’s dark sexiness against her better judgment, until he saves her life with weird marks and she realizes he is different. But by healing her, Torin changes something inside Raine. Now she can’t stop thinking about him. Half the time, she’s not sure whether to fall into his arms or run.

Scared, she sets out to find out what Torin is. But the closer she gets to the truth the more she uncovers something sinister about him. What Torin is goes back to an ancient mythology and Raine is somehow part of it. Not only is she and her friends in danger, she must choose a side, but the wrong choice will cost Raine her life.

TEASER

As though aware of my presence, Torin looked up and stood. I swallowed, my senses soaking him as though I hadn’t seen him earlier. I walked toward them, my heart racing so hard I felt lightheaded.

“Did you finish your eulogy, sweetie?” Mom asked.

“No, I need help. Kate wasn’t very outgoing, so we know next to nothing about her,” I said absentmindedly, my eyes not leaving Torin’s. I wanted to look away, but couldn’t. His eyes held me spellbound. He watched me as though every expression on my face was of utter importance to him. “I didn’t know you two had met,” I added, my voice breathless.

“Your mother and I met a few days ago,” he said, cocking his eyebrows. “I hope you don’t mind.”

“Why should I?” My face grew warm, the conversation we’d had in the closet at school flashing in my head.

“Torin wants to know if it’s okay for him to throw a party tomorrow night for the swim team. Isn’t that thoughtful of him to ask all the neighbors first?” Mom said.

“Just being neighborly, Mrs. Cooper.”

Grimnirs
Runes Series #2.5
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18715094-surrender-to-temptation

The closer I got to my school, the more nervous I became. The last two days had been a nightmare—worrying about school, Echo returning with more outlandish stories, watching the videos on my vlog over and over, and trying to find anything that made sense.

The annoying reaper didn’t come back, and I didn’t find anything useful online. It was me on those videos, not someone impersonating me or a doppelganger. The mannerism, facial expressions, even the laugh on those videos said it was me.

But how had I sneaked out of the psych ward? Had I created a portal through a mirror the way Echo had done, but had been too pumped full of psych meds to remember? The problem was I didn’t sound drugged or look loopy in the videos. Not knowing how I’d recorded them was driving me nuts.

For two days, I’d researched supernatural phenomena. Astral projection was a possible explanation. I could see souls, so it wasn’t a stretch. Echo flashed his tats and became invisible, so my astral image could have hooked up with him.

Right. It sounded like something straight out of a fantasy novel. I would have remembered Echo. Making out with him. I just hated the idea of having had sex with him. How could I have forgotten my first time?

Dad stopped at the stop sign, and I pulled up behind him. I’d insisted on bringing my Elantra even though he and Mom had caused a big stink about it. How the heck was I going to go back to being normal when I couldn’t drive myself to school? After clothes shopping with Mom yesterday and souls following us everywhere like zombies, I knew I couldn’t let her chauffeur me around. She’d almost caught me glaring at a soul.

A sudden cold draft filled my car as I stepped on the gas. I smothered a scream and slammed on the brakes when my eyes met Echo’s in the rear-view mirror.

Immortals (Book 2)

Blurb

Nothing can stop Raine Cooper when she wants something…
Raine finally knows that her gorgeous neighbor, Torin St. James, is a legend straight out of Norse mythology, and that her feelings for him are strong. Torin is crazy about Raine too, breaking the one rule he lives by: Never fall for a mortal. The problem is he no longer remembers her, his memories erased by Norns—Norse destiny deities—to punish her for defying them.
So Raine comes up with a plan…
She will make Torin forget his one rule a second time and fall in love with her all over again. But she quickly learns that well-laid plans do not work when dealing with deities and supernatural beings. Desperate, Raine makes choices that could not only tear her and Torin further apart, but lead to the destruction of everything and everyone she loves.

Grimnirs (Book 2.5)

Blurb

Straight out of the psyche ward, Cora just wants her life to be normal. She doesn’t want to see souls or the reapers collecting them. The love of her life, the guy she’s loved from a distance for years, has moved away without saying goodbye. So yes, she’s nursing a serious heartbreak. It’s no wonder love is the last thing on her mind when Echo storms into her life.
The chemistry between them is mind-blowing. The connection defies logic. It doesn’t help that Echo is the poster boy for everything she hates in a guy—hot, beautiful, and cocky. A general pain-in-the-butt. Being around him makes her feel more alive than she’s ever felt before. But more important, the souls leave her alone when he is around.
Echo is perfect for her. Echo might even be her soul-mate. There is only one problem. Echo is a freaking soul reaper. A Grimnir. The very beings she wants out of her life. Maybe normal is overrated because Cora wants it all. Answers. Love. A life. You see, once you fall for a Grimnir, your life will never be the same again.

Awakened (Book 1)

When she meets Bran, a mysterious boy with amazing abilities, his psi energy unlocks her latent powers. But Bran has a secret that can ruin their growing relationship, and the truth she discovers may destroy everything she believes in unless she finds the right balance between love and sacrifice.

Blurb
Lil isn’t just an average teenager. She’s one of the Nephilim–the descendants of humans and angels–which gives her some serious psi skills and a mission for redemption. Just when Lil thinks she’s found a balance between her normal life with human friends and her training to become a Guardian, she’s warned that someone close to her will betray her. When the boy she loves starts acting strangely and one of her human friends acquires a supernatural ability, Lil begins to realize that someone is manipulating the people she loves… and won’t stop until she’s been lured to the dark side.

Hunted (Book 3)

Blurb
Bran and Lil may have escaped an attempt to lure Lil to the dark side,
and recovered the contracts damned people signed with Bran when he was
a soul collector, but someone forgot to tell them that no one switches sides or
cancels contracts without consequences.
Hunted by an unknown but powerful enemy, Lil, Bran and the Guardians must
seek help from unlikely sources to avert total annihilation of the Guardians.
When they finally face their enemy, one of them may have to make the ultimate sacrifice.

TEASER:

“I wanted us to be alone.”

I released a shaky breath. “I saw you earlier.”

“It wasn’t enough. Call me greedy, but I need more.” He ran his knuckles up and down my arm. I shivered. His hands rested on my hips then he lowered his head and pressed his face into my hair. “I didn’t expect you when I came here, Freckles. This was supposed to be a routine job, yet now it’s much more.”

I leaned against him, wanting to ease the pain in his voice even though I didn’t know how. “But I’m with Eirik.”

“He’s not right for you.” His voice was low, intense.

“I’ve known him all my life. He understands me.”
“Does he make you tremble with a touch?”  He ran the tips of his fingers up my bare arm, his touch feather light, yet it lit a fire inside me. I closed my eyes, my entire body trembling. He lifted hair from my neck, lowered his head, and pressed a kiss on my exposed neck. Warmth pulsed through me. “Is he the first person you think about when you wake up in the morning and the last one you think about before you fall asleep?”

Goals, Trailers and Tiaras

1. So I'm dying to unveil the trailer of Runes (book #1) next week on Monday. It was created by California Videoworks, owned by a duo of very talented graphic designers.

2. Immortals (book #2 in the Runes series) is with my editor. I deserve a tiara for that

3. I'm back working on Forgotten, the next Guardian Legacy book. I'm 1/4 done. All I can say is poor Lil.

4. For those who read my contemporary romance, Chase's story is full of surprises. No, poor unsuspecting female who wonders in his ranch.

4. Before the year is over, I'll have book #3 of the Runes series done and possible a new NA story whose characters are driving me nuts. I refuse to listen to them until I finish my present WIPs.

5. Winner of the Spring Fling which ended yesterday is Lisa Vasquez.... Congrats, Lisa. I hope you got my e-mail.

TORIN'S POV: First Meeting #Runes #romance #paranormal #mytholgy @yaednah_walters

MEET TORIN

The second I turned off the Harley, I felt it—essence so strong the hairs on my skin rose. Hel's Mist! What was that? Where was it coming from? I could sense one of us from a mile away, but this one was different. It vibrated on a different frequency.

I removed my sunglasses and studied the houses in the cul-de-sac. Perfect little houses with perfect little lawns. A curtain moved at a window across from the street then fell into place. And nosey neighbors. It was going to be excruciatingly painful to live here, but it was perfect. Andris was going to hate it. I grinned at the thought, relishing the look on his face.

I removed the piece of paper from under my biker gloves, checked the name and address, then sauntered down the driveway. The curtains across the street moved again and I hid a smile. The attention didn’t bother me. I was used to it.

The closer I got to the house next door, the stronger the vibes I’d felt became. The runes on a car in the driveway cinched it. One of us lived here. I pressed the doorbell and waited impatiently.

Then she appeared. A girl. A Mortal. Late teens. Wide and curious hazel eyes stared at me, the specks of green intensifying as her pupils dilated. Mortal reaction to my presence never failed to amuse me. Annoyance flashed across her beautiful face and I blinked. That was new.

The verbal exchange between us wasn’t important. I was busy trying to figure the girl out. Most girls tended to go dewy-eyed when I talked to them. Or they became tongue-tied. This one seemed… disappointed. What did she have to be disappointed about? The more we talked, the more it was obvious she didn’t like me. Interesting. I wasn’t here to play with a snarky Mortal, but this one might change my mind. After centuries, it might be nice to find one that was worthy of my time. She might even make this assignment bearable.

I found myself watching her lips move. The way light reflected on strands of her rich dark-brown hair. The way her eyes narrowed with a mixture of annoyance and determination. My eyes shifted back to her lips. Kissable lips. The energy I’d felt wasn’t from her, but it was around her. Whoever the energy belonged to was part of her life, someone close to her, which made her even more intriguing.

Her eyes followed me as I walked away. Just as I passed the car in the driveway, I saw the stickers on the back. The Trojans. Swimmer Girl. Hel’s Mist! Was she one of them, the reason I was in their little town?
